Ein Jahrzehnt Pause ist im Pop eine Ewigkeit – daher sei es jedem nachgesehen, der den Namen Ella Eyre nicht mehr sofort auf dem Schirm hat. Als Begründung, warum die 31-jährige britische Sängerin und Songwriterin nach dem Erfolg ihres Albumdebüts „Feline“ von 2015 (Platz vier in den UK-Charts) so lange für einen Nachfolger brauchte, nennt ihr Label Play It Again Sam (Pias) „Jahre kreativer Zwangsjacken der Branche“.
