Happy release day to “Cellostatus“, the new album from cellist Nicholas Finch, NouLou Chamber Players and conductor Jason Seber, featuring premiere recordings of works for cello and chamber orchestra by Dorian Wallace, Alyssa Weinberg, and the concerto that gave the album its title composed by .. me! That’s right, I wrote a piece called “Cellostatus“, dedicated to everyone’s favorite subject — social media — how Meta! (Full disclosure, I wrote this piece in 2019.)

I’m so grateful to Nicholas Finch and NouLou for commissioning, creating a community around this music and documenting it so beautifully on record. This project is an immense team effort, the recording and release of which was pursued with patience and dedication over a number of years.
